Week 5 (Life): Rainbow Salad

Take the time this week to create a fantastic salad with veggies from every color of the rainbow! Be BETTER believes that a diet full of veggies can contribute to the healthy lifestyle you are aiming for. Veggies have a huge number of benefits that help prevent heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and cancer. This week the health goal is to make at least one salad that includes veggies of every color of the rainbow. An example is a salad that includes red peppers, carrots, yellow peppers, lettuce, avocado, blue/purple cabbage, and eggplant. Be BETTER this week by taking the time to make at least one beautiful salad that will make you feel nourished and healthy.

 

 Incorporate at least two of these veggies into your diet:

 

Greens: Kale, spinach, broccoli, chard

Yellow/Orange: Carrots, yellow bell peppers

Reds: Beets, red cabbage, tomatoes, red peppers

Whites: Mushrooms, cauliflower, garlic, onion
