Be Better Impact: Have you complimented someone lately?

All the names of people in your life that are great at giving compliments.

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week complimenting others to fulfill your weekly Be Better Challenge! One small compliment can go a long way, and it is important to spread positivity. Just saying a simple “hello” or smiling at someone can turn their bad day into a good one, as we’ve seen with the “Pay It Forward” and “Post-It Note” challenges. The point is, we should never stop inspiring others and filling the world with kindness.

We realized that posting pictures of compliments you’ve paid others would be difficult, so we asked you to post one of your favorite inspirational quotes instead. It was great to see so many of your favorite quotes as well as the ways in which you complimented others. Not only may the quote inspire others, but also you may be inspired yourself. One of my personal favorites is by Henry David Thoreau: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams; live the life you’ve imagined.” You never know the positive effect you can have on someone with a simple quote.

Remember: whenever you complete a challenge for Be Better, Be Better donates an extra dollar if you post it on social media. TWLOHA has been doing a great job raising awareness of mental health issues. Just as we have done with the challenges this week, TWLOHA continues to spread words of positivity. Thank you to everyone who completed the challenge. We hope you continue these challenges throughout the week.

Charity Update:

TWLOHA is a nonprofit founded to help those struggling with mental health issues and depression. One of the organization’s projects is “Fears vs. Dreams,” which asks two simple questions – “What are your biggest fears?” and “What are your biggest dreams?” Go to TWLOHA’s website for more information on this campaign. Thanks to TWLOHA for giving people a safe place to talk about their struggles.

Thank you to @jerithegiraffe for your awesome posts this week!
